Carl Ray Henderson

Gaffney, SC: Carl Ray Henderson, 66, passed away on January 13, 2022. He was the husband of Deborah Henderson, and the son of the late James, and Lula Mae Henderson.

Ray was a family man. He was a devoted husband, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Ray enjoyed doing leather work in his spare time. He served in the U.S. Army, in Germany. Ray loved serving his country. After being discharged, he was a machinist by trade, for over 30 years. 

Ray is survived by a son, Kevin “Bo” Gossett (Loretta); a daughter, Jennifer Gillian (Justin); a brother James Henderson; a sister, Margaret Pennington; a nephew, Michael Pennington; and grandchildren, Brock, Grayson, Olivia, Marlayna, Miranda, and Marissa.

Ray was predeceased by a brother, Mike Henderson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Peace Free Will Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Rev. Chuck Thornton will be conducting the service. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.bobofuneralchapel.com.
