Mike passed over into his eternal life, December 7, 2021. He was a lifelong Spartanburg resident, and the son of the late William E. and Evelyn Wooten. His strong bond with both of his parents epitomized Exodus 20:12.
Survived by a loving family that includes: a brother, Jeff (Kathy) Moss; nieces, Dana M. (John) Gardner, Angie Hansen, Kathy W. Johnson, and Melissa Moss; and a special grandnephew, “D.J”.
Mike was predeceased by a sister, Peggy M. Holt, and nephews Danny Moss, and Alan Moss.
He had many friends, and former co-workers, including: Rusty (Gina) Johnson, Tim Hill, Jim Hill, Rick Thompson, and Mark Puette.
Mike loved good food, Star Trek, drag racing, NASCAR, electronics. He was very talented making blueberry cheesecake, and gourmet quality candy for family Thanksgiving, as he was making a good MIG weld.
He was a member of Skylyn United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Skylyn United Methodist Church: 1415 Skylyn Dr. Spartanburg, SC 29307.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
