Bobby Joe Morris

Bobby Joe Morris, 67, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday July 24, 2025. Born January 17, 1958 in Catawba County, NC, he was the son of the late Arnado and Brenda Houser Morris, Jr. and the husband of Diane Bolick Morris.

Bobby served as a Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Deputy for 14 years obtaining the rank of Seargent and receiving supervisor of the year award 3 straight years. Prior to his time with the Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office, he helped run the family business, Wes Bolick Bedrooms, for 20 plus years. Bobby was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church, and Oak Grove Baptist Church prior.

Bobby was a dedicated family man. He was married to the love of his life, Diane, for 47 years. He was a loving father to his three children, seven grandchildren and his great-granddaughter. He was especially close to his in-laws Wes and Polly Bolick. He was the happiest when traveling with his family and listening to music.

In addition to his loving wife, Bobby is survived by a son Jake Morris (Landrie); daughters Stacie Lanford (Terry), and Sarah Manuel (Tripp); grandchildren Cameron Lanford (Samantha), Caleb Lanford, Chloe Lanford, Sadie Manuel, Hudson Manuel, Ellie Jae Morris, and Weston Morris; a great-granddaughter Addison Lanford; sister Kim Sain (Ivan) and Lisa Frazier (Wayne); in-laws Wes and Polly Bolick.

The family will receive friends 1:00pm – 3:00pm, Thursday July 31, 2025, at Fairview Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm, officiated, by Rev. Ty Childers and Rev. Rufus Chaneyworth. Burial will be at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
