Beverly June Doster

Beverly June Doster, age 63, passed away peacefully December 30th, 2022 due to kidney failure. She was born May 27, 1959 in Jonesville, SC to Roy and June Rector. Beverly attended Jonesville High School and graduated from Spartanburg Methodist College. She worked at Wofford College for over thirty years before retiring early at 62. Survived by her brother Mike Rector, children: Dylan Doster (wife Natasha) and Derek Doster (wife Rebekah), her granddaughter Hailee Doster and her beloved Teacup Chihuahua, Pinto. 

Beverly was the life of the party. She was the sweetest person. Her family knew her only as a kind, funny and a caring mother. She was a known instigator. Those who grew up with Beverly would tell you “It was never Beverly’s fault.” Beverly was also a prankster, even down to the voicemail on her phone “Hello, Hello, Hellllooo…”. She was a wild spirit who took advice from no one. She truly brightened your day and made you feel good just being around her. In earlier years, she spent time getting lost driving to the beach, destroying ant hills, and going to the auction at Habitat. Beverly was world renowned for her lack of patience. She despised repetitive noises, the sound of a spoon scrapping the bottom of the bowl for that last bite, and lord forbid if someone chewed on some ice or ate an apple in her presence. In her later years, if she wasn’t watching tv at home with Pinto, she was somewhere gawking at people and being nosey. Her favorite past times were wading in a pool, playing cards and board games with family and friends. If you knew her, you knew she was cold natured. So in memory of Beverly, we ask that you take time to turn your thermostat up to 80 degrees, cuddle up on the couch and fall asleep to a good movie.  

Beverly will be missed as a mother, as a friend and as a grandmother. She has finally reunited with her parents and grandmother.
