Betty "Doris" Horton

Betty “Doris” Horton, 88, passed away on October 13, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Malcomb and Nancy Mabry, and the wife of the late Oliver Horton.

Doris is survived by a son, Danny Horton (Joyce); a daughter-in-law, Kathy Horton; brothers, Ed Mabry (Celcia), Alton Mabry (Norma); sisters, JoAnn Marcengill (Eddie) and Joyce Husky (Donald); grandchildren, Dale, Kim, Tony, Justin, Samantha, Austin and Brandon; seven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by a son, Earl Horton; brothers, J.C. Mabry, Carroll Mabry and Junior Mabry; and sisters, Shirley Hames and Ruby Bolton.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Frank Bryant will be officiating.  The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at Mt. Olive Baptist Church following the service.
