With great sadness and grief, we announce that our father, Allen Rowe Sadler Jr., has passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, losing his battle with fibrosis of the lungs and pneumonia this afternoon in Spartanburg, SC. He is a native of Perryville, Maryland.
He is survived by his wonderful wife Connie of 35 years, and seven beautiful children. His eldest daughter Stacey and husband Jason Moyers, eldest son Bradley and wife Chelsea, 2nd son Justin, 3rd son Dustin and wife Cassandra, 4th son Ryan, 5th son Jeremy and 2nd daughter Makenzie. He was blessed with six grandchildren Ethan, Bryson, Averie, Laney, Adrian, and Ainsley; his siblings Drifter Pinnix, Vicki and Marty Brock, Marsha and Michael Hamilton, Scott and Ray Leblanc, Shelby and Bill Wadsworth, Eric, David, and Candice, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Allen is also survived by his beloved dog, Gypsy.
Allen was one of a kind; we all have learned a lot of things from him. He enjoyed being around family and enjoying a nice meal. He loved to work and write his own script, he enjoyed being the Star of the Show most notably attempting to impersonate Elvis Presley without pay. He was most recently owner-operator of Sadler Trucking. He has left a legacy of driven go-getters and a family who is not afraid to try. His charisma was world-renowned. He never met a stranger. We are thankful for our time with him, and we are grateful that he is not suffering anymore.
We will be coordinating service plans in the coming days and let everyone know the details as soon as they are made. At this time we appreciate your prayers as our large family grieves and processes everything.
