Albert Earl Baldwin, Jr.

Spartanburg, SC: Albert Earl “Al” Baldwin, Jr., 74, of the Cannons Campground Community in Spartanburg, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday August 25, 2018 at Spartanburg regional Medical Center. Al was born near Gaffney, SC in the Asbury Community on July 22, 1944, the only son of the late Albert “Earl” Baldwin, Sr. and Ruby Peeler Baldwin. He was the devoted husband of Sarah “Jo” Johnson Baldwin, his wife of 47 years, also of the Cannons Campground Community.

Al was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Limestone College. His career was in power line construction where he started as a lineman in the 1960’s and worked his way to upper level management. He was a member of Cannons Campground United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Carter A. Baldwin and wife Amy of Summerville, and a cherished grandson Ethan Baldwin.

The family will receive friends 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday August 28, 2018 at Bobo Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Cannons Campground United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Joe Blackwelder, Rev. David Ervin, and Rev. Michael Bradley. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
