SPARTANBURG, SC: Sarah Barber Wilson, 100, widow of the late Theodore R. Wilson, passed away at her home December 10, 2017. She was the daughter of the late William and Nannie Lowe Barber.
Mrs. Wilson was a 1933 graduate of Cowpens High School, employed by Clifton Mfg. for 25 years and was later a cosmetologist and owner of Sarah’s Beauty Shop. She was a devout Christian lady and member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church where she served as pianist, Board member, Sunday School teacher and Choir member. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, nana, friend and mentor. She lived her life as a beautiful example to others. Always compassionate, she was a vigilant soldier for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by a son, Ted B. Wilson and wife, Sandra; two grandchildren: Michelle Thomas (Charles) and Monica Cain; four great grandchildren: Tanner Cain (Lindsey), Grace Thomas, Katherine Thomas and Tucker Johnson; and one great-great grandchild: Avery Cain; a sister, Pauline “Polly” B. Easler; three nieces: Sally Nan Barber, Jean Epps, and Emily Anderson; grand-niece, Jennifer Marcengill and a grand-nephew, Kevin Epps. She was predeceased by brothers, Earl, Joe, and Harold Barber and sisters, Evelyn B. Davis and Mary B. Thornton.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, Thursday, December 14, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Clifton, SC. Service will immediately follow with speakers Rev. Wayne Major and Mr. Stanley Goode. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
