Spartanburg, SC:  Rita Loftis McGlohorn (Cudd) passed away peacefully at her home, located at 510 Gramercy Blvd. Spartanburg, SC 29301 on September 3, 2018 at the age of 65. She was the wife of Jimmy McGlohorn and the daughter of Van Cudd and the late Pearl Cudd.

Rita was born August 12, 1953 in Spartanburg, SC to Van and Pearl Cudd. She graduated from Pacolet High School in 1972 and furthered her education at Spartanburg Community College with a degree in accounting. She married Jimmy McGlohorn August 8, 1985. She was employed with S&S Manufacturing of Spartanburg, SC for over 30 years where she made many friends. She was a member of Glendale Wesleyan Church and attended Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Pacolet, SC.

Rita loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, taking them to get pampered at nail salons and shopping. She loved life and watching the Byrnes Rebels play on Friday nights. She always put everyone else first, no matter what it took, and everyone felt it.

In addition to her husband and father she is survived by three sons Joey Loftis and wife Ashley of Pacolet, Bryan McGlohorn and wife Debbie of Prosperity, and Jonathan McGlohorn and wife Delphine of Zurich, Switzerland; eight grandchildren Kory, Ansleigh and Bryson Loftis of Pacolet, Blake, Emily and Olivia McGlohorn of Chapin, and Elliott and Margot McGlohorn of Zurich, Switzerland, two brothers Ralph Cudd of Glendale and Ronald Cudd and wife Cookie of Spartanburg.

The family will receive friends 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Friday September 7, 2018 at Calvary Hill Baptist Church 7210 S. Pine Street, Pacolet, SC  29372. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm officiated by Rev. Bill Pickel. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adult Sunday School Class c/o Calvary Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 369, Pacolet, SC  29372.

The family will be at the home of her father Van Cudd, 260 Emma Cudd Road, Spartanburg.
