Nick Lewis

SPARTANBURG, SC:  John Nicholas “Nick” Lewis, 81, husband of the late Jackie Motts Lewis, passed away July 9, 2017, at Regional Hospice Home.  He was the son of the late Tom and Allie Connor Lewis.

Mr. Lewis retired as a Backhoe Operator with the Spartanburg Sanitary-Sewer Department, served in the National Guard from 1955-1958, and was of the Baptist faith.  He was the “Social Butterfly” around his neighborhood on Idlewood Circle, loved his friends and family, and loved the outdoors-especially fishing.

He is survived by son, Tommy Lewis; daughter, Cindy Osborne (Ray); grandson, Donny Osborne (Heather); great-granddaughter, Madison Osborne; and sister, Artie L. Quinn. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Dewey and George Lewis and a sister, Margie L. Allison.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park with the Rev. Kenneth Cash officiating.  Friends will be received immediately after the service.
