Karen Rogers Bennett

SPARTANBURG, SC:  Karen Elaine Rogers Bennett, 62, widow of Boyd Andrew Bennett, died Saturday, January 21, 2017, at home.   She was the daughter of the late Thomas C. Rogers and Othello Leatherwood Rogers.

She was formerly employed with Caraway Furniture Mfg.  Ashboro, NC  in upholstering and sewing.  She was a devoted mother and will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her son, Darrell Ray Gowan, of the home; four sisters, Linda R. Pasco of Spartanburg, Carrie R. Oliver (Johnny) of Switzer, SC, Mary R. Boyette of Drayton, Lynette R. Wheeler (David) of Spartanburg; five nephews, Tommy Lee, Robert Mabry, Michael Oliver, David and Jason Wheeler and two nieces, Kim Lee and Barbara Gregory.  She was predeceased by a niece, Vickie Howell.

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3000 Stone Station Rd., Roebuck, SC  29376 officiated by Rev Frankie Taylor.
