Joann Greene

LELAND, NC:  Joann Greene, 81, of 5079 Northgate Dr., Leland, NC, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at her residence.  Joann was born in Cherokee County, SC, on November 5, 1936 to the late Jonah and Rosalee Wall.   In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Hubert Lee Greene, two sisters, Elizabeth Hall and Marynell Young; and a grandson, Rusty Greene.

She retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a member of Love Springs Baptist Church.  She was a loving MoMa and mamal.  She would say “I love you” more than you could ever know. 

Joann is survived by a great grandson of the home, Zach Holmes; a son, Ricky Greene of Rutherfordton, NC; two daughters, Brenda Whitt of Wilmington, NC and Sandra Inman of Spartanburg, SC; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Dewey Wall (Jeanette) of Gaffney, SC; two sisters, Shirley Price (Obby) of Cowpens, SC; Martha Clary (Henry) of Gaffney, SC.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Thursday, December 28, at Love Springs Baptist Church, Cowpens, SC.  Service conducted by Rev. Bryon Inman will follow at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Love Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 554 Sunny Slope Drive, Cowpens, SC, 29330.
