Dr. Randall Matthew “Matt” Mosley

INMAN, SC:  Dr. Randall Matthew Mosley, 45, husband of Lathrop Hart Mosley, passed away July 5, 2017.  Born in Spartanburg he was the son of Joyce Crocker Mosley Brady and Wayne Brady.  He was predeceased by his father, Randall Dupre Mosley.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandmother, Thelma Brady, and mother-in-law, Jane F. Hart.

Matt graduated from Wofford College and Clemson University earning a PhD in chemistry.  He was the Director of Finance and Operations at Spartanburg Day School where he was admired by the students and staff.  He was a member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, the Beulah Creek Hunt Club, and Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.  He was an outdoorsman, notable for his “one liners”, and very loved by his family and students.

Private burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 400 Dupre Dr., Spartanburg, SC, 29307, with The Reverend Jim Trimble and The Reverend Monty King officiating.  A reception will follow at Spartanburg Day School, 1701 Skylyn Dr., Spartanburg, SC, 29307.
