SPARTANBURG, SC:  Charles Fred Frady, 94, of 190 Frady Rd., husband of the late Helen Seay Frady, passed away October 20, 2017 surrounded by family at his home.  He was the son of the late Addie Edward and Belle Cooksey Frady.  

Mr. Frady served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II and remained a proud veteran. He had a devoted love for his family. He was dedicated member of Cannon’s Camp Ground United Methodist Church with an outpouring love for his community and his church family. Mr. Frady gave many years of dedicated Christian service and served as church treasurer for several years. He was a member of the Masonry Brotherhood, and an avid fan and member of the Gamecock Club.

He is survived by three daughters, Charlene F. Kirby, Donna F. Bishop, and Janet F. Martin all of Spartanburg, SC; three granddaughters who he raised as daughters Melissa Ridings, Jennifer Mathis Dawson, and Mandy Watkins Dabbs; two grandchildren Harlea and Clinton Martin; four great-grandchildren Charles Champion, Joshua Turner, Mason Willis, and Addie O. Dawson. He is predeceased by two brothers Edward and Herman Frady; three sisters Helen O’Sullivan, Ruby Shaw, and Ruhama Wilson.

Visitation will be 1:30-3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, at Cannon’s Camp Ground United Methodist Church followed by funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Blackwelder and Rev. David Ervin, Sr. officiating. Military Burial with the American Legion Post #28 will follow in the church cemetery.
