Dear Addington family,
I am very sorry to hear of the recent death of Blanche. I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family.
Losing a loved one in death is one of the most traumatic things we will ever experience. We never really get over death, we just get used to it. When someone dies we wonder: why?
Let me assure you that Almighty God is not the cause of death. He gave our first parents Adam and Eve the very best start in life. They were created perfect. They did not get sick, grow old, or die. But their disobedience is what led to their imperfection and death. Thus, because they became imperfect, they could only pass imperfection to their offspring.
The Bible at 1 John 4:8, says that God is love. Would a loving God cause the death of someone and take them away from their families, causing them pain and grief, just so he can have them in heaven with him? The scriptures say that God has myriads and myriads of angels in heaven with him even before he created man. (Revelation 5:11).
If God did a thing such as this it would be cruel and unloving. The Bible at Hebrews 2:14, says that Satan the Devil has the power to cause death.
So Satan has been causing the death of mankind can be traced back to the Garden of Eden.
Almighty God wants us to be happy and have life. He has opened up the way for mankind to live forever by means of the resurrection.
At John 5:28-29, we are promised that those who are in Gods memory will be resurrected. Isn't this a wonderful promise?
When Jesus was here on the earth, he showed that he has the power to bring back the dead. On one occasion, he resurrected his good friend Lazarus. (John 11:11-44). On another occasion he brought back the only son of a widow. (Luke 7:11-17).
Rest assure that God and Jesus will do the same for our loved ones.
It is my wish that these scriptures bring the family comfort and hope.
In your spare time please read: Revelation 21:3-4, Acts 24:15, Isaiah 25:8, Isaiah 26:19, 1 Corinthians 15:26.
