Betty Brigman

SPARTANBURG, SC:   Betty Jean Smalley Brigman, 84, passed away May 14, 2017, at St. Frances Hospital, Greenville.   Born in Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Marion Smalley and Bessie Sentell Smalley.  

Mrs. Brigman was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and a former Nurses Aid at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Irene Jones and Debra Woodward both of Cowpens; a daughter-in-law, Laura Jones of Spartanburg; two sisters, Marie Coyle of Gaffney and Carolyn Wilson of Boiling Springs; five granddaughters and nine great grandchildren.   In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, P. Larry Jones.  

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Spencer officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service.
