Madge L. Buffkin

Madge L. Buffkin, 91, went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2024. She was the wife of the late William Edgar Buffkin and the daughter of the late Tanner and Thelma Lavender.

She was the treasurer of the Mary Montgomery Chapter #231, Order of The Eastern Star for many years, a member of Drayton Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Madge is survived by her daughter, Velda Buffkin; grandchildren, Chris Gaffney (Beth), Chasity Howell, April Fowler, Luke Buffkin (Ali) and Vivian Dudley (Justin); great grandchildren, Catherine McCarty (Thomas), Caroline Gaffney, Kaylen Fowler, Kyle Fowler, Camren Fowler, Caidence Dudley and Emmett Buffkin; and one great-great grandchild, Hayven Williams.

She is predeceased by a son, William C. Buffkin; a daughter, Ileta B. Gaffney; a brother, Winfred C. Lavender; and a half-sister, Elizabeth Williams.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Drayton Baptist Church from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at Drayton Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Rev. David Frost will be conducting the service. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Drayton Baptist Church.: P.O. Box 357 Drayton, SC 29333.
