Patrice Willey
SPARTANBURG, SC: On June 28, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, Patrice lost her brave battle with cancer.
A 1969 graduate of Mechanicsburg Area High School, PA, Patrice was the daughter of the late Raymond and Jane Divelbiss. She is survived by a sister, Sue Warren of New Cumberland, PA; a nephew, Josh Lusk and a niece, Jennifer Di’Tonno of PA; her forever friend, Gary Finley of Spartanburg; her gal pal, Sally Snyder of Pennsylvania; her guy pay, Ed Null of West Virginia; and her feline buddy, D.L. Cat (affectionately referred to as Skippy) who is being loved and cared for by Gary.
A sincere thank you to the staff of Gibbs Cancer Center in Spartanburg for the kind and compassionate care Patrice received, with special thanks and blessings to Colin Curran, MD, Madeline Reistroffer, NP, and Pat’s infusion miracle worker and ray of sunshine, Jennifer Sizemore, RN. Patrice also wanted to acknowledge Spartanburg Regional Hospital’s transport driver, George Moody, who made trips to medical appointments a little brighter with his quick wit and upbeat personality. Special appreciation is offered to the staff at Hospice Home.
Memorials may be made through a donation in her memory to the Chad Dingman Special Needs Program at Spartanburg Regional Foundation, 101 East Wood St., Spartanburg, SC, 29303.

My sweetest and dearest friend will be missed. I know I'm going to reach for the phone and settle in for a two to three hour conversation...guess I'm going to simply talk to the heavens from now on. Patrice and I had some great laughs (and believe me, our laughs could be heard!) and much needed sessions of complaining. I know I'll still be able to hear Patrice's laugh when I need it most. Don't know if this is appropriate but the Heavens better look out 'cause when it's my time, Patrice and I are going to have one heck of a reunion (Patrice's obit may have been a little 'off color' so I thought 'why not' w/ the condolences!). Love you, Cisco (inside joke of course). W/ the sweetest memories, Sally (Poncho) Snyder.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families, and especially Gary Finley, who has been Pat's companion for many years. May the Lord comfort those who are weary and heavy laden.

Patrice and I worked together at PA Blue Shield many years ago. Although we had lost touch with each other over the years, I am very saddened to learn of her passing. My sincere condolences to her family and friends in SC and PA.

I didn't know Pat except to say she was a blessed woman. Yes, she suffered a fatal disease that feels all our hearts with hate. But I am here to tell you she was one lucky woman to have a mate like Gary. Even though his heart was heavy, he went through his brother's funeral with a smile on his face. Why? Even though he was hurting for the loss of his brother and his sole mate Pat he was also happy that neither had to suffer anymore. How many people can do that? I'm very proud to be a part of this family and to know a loving, considerate, and caring man like Gary Finley. GOD bless you Gary in your loss of two loved ones. My heart aches for you.
