Roger D. Atkins

CONVERSE, SC:  Roger Dean Atkins, 50, husband of Marcie Bennett Atkins, died November 25, 2016.  He was a son of the late Paul and Mary Wood Atkins.

Roger was a graduate of Broome High School, an electrician with Auriga Polymers, and of the Baptist faith.  He was an avid Carp fisherman and had a great love for his family, especially his three grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Josh Atkins and wife, Shana, and Justin Atkins of Converse; brother Darryl Atkins of Cowpens; sister, Linda Lyda of Chesnee; and three grandchildren, Madison, Konnor, and Adilyn Atkins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Donnie and John Atkins.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 28, at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Campobello, with Rev. Mike Davis officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
