Katherine Lee Crocker

SPARTANBURG, SC:  Mrs. Katherine Lee Crocker died at the age of 87 on Thursday, March 24, 2016.  She was the wife of the late Rev. Clarence E. Crocker.  A Spartanburg native, she was the daughter of the late Milledge E. and Nettie Davis Mathis of Spartanburg.   In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Mr. Howard E. Lee; their son, Mr. Ned Lee; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Mathis McGraw, Mrs. Christine Mathis Wood, Mrs. Violet Mathis Lipscomb, all of Spartanburg and Mrs. Martha Mathis Trammel of Anderson; and two brothers, Lloyd Mathis and Milledge E. Mathis, Jr.

            Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Page Irwin Lee; step-son, Mr. C. Wayne Crocker and his wife Carolyn of Spartanburg; step-daughter, Mrs. Kathy Boger and her husband Jerry of Statesville, NC; step son-in-law, Mr. Dennis Crocker and his wife Gail of McConnells, SC;  three granddaughters, seven step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and sixteen step great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Mathis Vassey of Athens, GA, Mrs. Betty Mathis Hyder of Fort Walton Beach, FL; and two brothers-in-law, Mr. Terrell Lipscomb of Cowpens, SC, and Kenneth Lee of Spartanburg, SC.

            Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Bobo Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Daniel Blackwell and Rev. Keith Davis.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. before the service.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

            In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Glendale Baptist Church, PO Box 268, Glendale, SC, 29346 or Regional Hospice Home Care, 121 Heywood Ave., Spartanburg, SC, 29302.

           The family would like to thank her kind and faithful caregivers, Jackie Allison, Harriett Byrd, Veronica Davis, Kay Peeler, Doris Williams, and Sara Wilson.

            Families will be at their respective homes.
