Evelyn Parris Hall

SALEM, SC:   Mary Evelyn Parris Hall, 93, widow of James Edward Hall, passed away March 25, 2017.   Born in Chesnee, SC, she was the daughter of the late Eliphus F. Parris and Bertha Lee Robertson Parris Still.

She was a resident of Spartanburg County all of her life until moving to Salem, SC, with her son, James  and wife, Ann, in later years.  She additionally was a former resident of Drayton since 1956.  She was a graduate of Chesnee High School, a former member of Davis Memorial for 19 years, Drayton Baptist for over 40 years, and currently a member of Little River Baptist Church in Salem. 

Mrs. Hall is survived by sons, James Edward Hall, Jr. (Ann) of Salem, SC and Larry Donnie Hall (Deborah) of Woodruff, SC; a daughter, Linda H. Elder of Inman, SC; a sister, Carolyn P. Stephens of Spartanburg, SC; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and  18 great-great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a brother, E.F. Parris, Jr., and two sisters, Mildred P. Taylor and Edna P. Burns.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. before the 2:00 p.m. service, Tuesday, March 28, at Bobo Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joseph Saunders officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
