Donald Ray Hall

SPARTANBURG, SC:  Donald Ray Hall, 83, of Pacolet, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Summit Hills.  He was the husband of the late Martha Garrett Hall and was the son of the late Richard Earl Hall and Pearlie Hutchins Hall.

             Mr. Hall retired after 31 years with CRX Railroad and served in the U. S. Army and Air Force Reserves for 26 years.  He was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher, deacon and an usher.  He was president of the Pacolet Lions’ Club, chairman of the railroad board of trustees (railroad union) and a ham radio operator.

             Survivors include two brothers, Rev. Charles R. Hall and Dennis E. Hall; a sister, Marlene H. Tisdale; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Harold W. Hall. 

             Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at Pacolet Mills Baptist Church.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Norman Band, Dennis Hall, and Tommy Grubbs. Interment will be in Jonesville Memorial Gardens.
