David Ervin, Sr.

SPARTANBURG, SC:   David Eugene Ervin, Sr., 70, husband of Sandra Sprouse Ervin, went home to be with the Lord, September 2, 2016, at Regional Hospice Home.  He was the son of the late George and Vera Busbin Ervin. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Christine Arrowood (Curtis) and Melissa Suttles (Greg); sons, David Ervin, Jr., and Jimmy Ervin (Mina); four grandsons, Matthew Ervin, Cody Ervin (Heather), Levi Ervin (Rebecca), and Cody Suttles; five granddaughters, Zoey Pitts (Josh), Anna Gallman (Chris), Alyssa Suttles, Sarah Suttles and Kloe Suttles; 8 great grandchildren and one on the way;  and a sister, Linda Sims (Mike).

David worked 31 years for American Fast Print and retired after 6 years from Watts Regulator.  He was a member of Clifton Church of God, a loving husband and father, enjoyed carpentry work, and was a great “shade tree” mechanic.

Visitation will be at Clifton Church of God, Tuesday, September 6, from 12:00-1:00 p.m.  The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor James Locklair officiating.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
